Paying TAX on $20,000
So, I’m not in too great of a mood and I would recommend keeping your distance. Why? Because I’m an honest citizen who just seems to get the shaft for being so. I could have not registered my car here, left registration in Oregon and kept doing so until I couldn’t; however I did not. I own a 2003 Jaguar S-Type; that however does not matter. What matters is that I paid purchase price of $19,995. Yes, that’s a great price for the car! — I know, however when you’re at the counter at the DMV and the guy tells you that you need to fork over $1,800, CASH! (No credit cards can be used) it puts a slight damper on ones day.
It just seems like I’ve been taking 2 steps forward, and 3 steps back since I’ve got here. Make a lot more money monthly, but with that comes lots of bills. I’m just sure damn glad that I’m at starting salary right now because if I knew that wasn’t going to go up soon, I think I would seriously consider some radical change in morals.
